The Moment a Song Starts Speaking Back
There comes a moment during almost every project when something changes.
At first, I'm making decisions.
Choosing chords.
Exploring melodies.
Trying different directions.
Then, almost without noticing...
The process shifts.
The song begins telling me where it wants to go.
That probably sounds strange.
But anyone who creates something deeply personal has likely experienced it.
There's a point where forcing stops working.
Listening becomes more important than controlling.
The best ideas rarely arrive because I demanded them.
They arrive because I stayed long enough to recognize them.
Some songs fight back.
Some ask to be simpler.
Others ask for more silence than sound.
I've learned to trust that process.
The music is almost always better when I stop trying to impress and start trying to understand.
Perhaps creativity isn't about having all the answers.
Perhaps it's about paying attention when something meaningful begins whispering its own.
